The Communications Manager is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will make every effort to return phone calls promptly. All media inquiries will be accommodated to the extent possible while following all applicable policies and state and federal guidelines.

Federal privacy law (HIPAA) requires that any individual requesting the status of a patient's condition know that patient's first and last name. Furthermore, our on-call representative will not provide information about a patient to the media, or anyone else, without the patient's, or their representative's, explicit permission.

Sutter Health policy requires that media be escorted at all times while on any Sutter hospital campus.
